While using the Internet, we connect to the Internet using some IP
(Internet Protocol) address. By reviewing this IP address, any internet user's
location information and internet usage history can be known. Many people do
not know their IP address even if they use the Internet regularly. An Internet
Protocol address (IP address) is a numerical label assigned to each device or
device connected to a computer network where the nodes of the network use the
Internet Protocol to communicate. Let’s see how to know your IP address.
Public IP address: Finding public IP addresses is very easy. For this, you have to enter the
browser from the computer or smartphone and go to the Google search engine. If
you search by writing 'What is my IP address' there, you can see the public IP
address.
Private IP address: Private IP addresses can be found in different ways from smartphones and
computers. To find the private IP address from a computer running Windows
operating system, first click on the settings menu. Then select Network and
Internet option and click on Properties. Scroll down to find the IPv4 address.
This is the private IP address.
To find a private address from a smartphone, first go to Settings and click
on Connections. Then tap on the Wi-Fi option and tap on the Settings icon next
to Network.
IP addresses are further divided into three categories based on different
characteristics and functionality. For example:
Unicast IP Address
Multicast IP Address
Broadcast IP Address
Up to now you can basically know about these three types of IP address.
What is Unicast IP Address?
Unicast essentially uniquely identifies an Internet user's host. And that
single group could be you or me or anyone else. These types of IP addresses are
used when you basically do any point-to-point communication. Unicast IP
addresses are Internet Protocol or IP addresses that are assigned to a single
device.
They are not used within your home network but they work across the entire
world internet
It is important because it provides a point of contact between a single
computer and the rest of the World Wide Web
What is Multicast IP Address?
Basically when any group communication is done then multicast address is
used to detect such communication. And that is why it is called one to many
multicast IP address.
In other words, multicast IP addresses are similar to unicast IP addresses
in that they can be used by multiple destinations. They are used to send
information from one host to multiple hosts on a network at the same time
without using a separate communication channel for each destination.
What is Broadcast IP Address?
The broadcast IP address is called the point-to-all communication.
Because such IP addresses can detect the data of different hosts in the
form of packages.
where multiple user identities are carried simultaneously.
Broadcast IP addresses are used by networks to transmit information to all
connected devices at the same time. To do this without interruption or delay
they use a special type of IP address called Broadcast IP Address. The way
Broadcast IP Addresses work is when data is sent using a broadcast IP address. It
will then be received by every other device on that network segment. This means
that if multiple segments of an organization are connected to network hardware.
As switches and routers use broadcast IP addresses any data sent will be
received on each of those segments.
How does IP address work?
The main function of an IP address is to connect a computer device to a
network of other computer devices. For example, suppose you enter a website.
Now after entering that website you need to access various data and
information of that site.
In that case, your free computer device must be connected to the IP server.
And the work of connecting your computer with a server is done by the IP
address.
These IP addresses basically help a local computer device to connect with
all other computer devices through a common network. Because these IP addresses
are basically enabled on a common network. As a result, one device can find
another device.
Why do we use IP (Internet Protocol) Address?
An IP address (Internet Protocol) is a numerical label. It is assigned to
each device on a computer network. Internet Protocol (IP) addresses are used to
communicate with each computer over the network.
In a word, IP Address is the Logical Identifier of a Network Node or Host
connection. Each Host in IP Network is marked with a specific number. This
number is IP (Internet Protocol). IP (Internet Protocol) is 32 Bit. It can be
divided into 4 parts by 8 Bit.
Well done post:-)
